Who the apartment suits

The main bedroom has a queen size bed, fitted wardrobes, blackout curtains and its own ensuite bathroom. Next to it sits a separate bonus room with two single beds, which works for a family with children, for two friends travelling together, or for a helper coming along with the family. It suits couples on holiday just as well, along with business travellers and remote workers looking for a quiet base for a few weeks.

Inside the apartment

The living area is bright, with large windows, a comfortable sofa and a smart TV with streaming apps. The open kitchen is properly equipped: fridge, electric stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, plus cookware, cutlery and wine glasses. Meals happen at the shared dining table. The balcony has outdoor furniture, so breakfast over the neighbourhood view is an option.

There are two bathrooms, the main one with a walk in shower and a large mirror, the second attached to the bedroom. The apartment has a washer and dryer, a drying rack, an iron and ironing board, a safe, and Wi-Fi running at over 250 Mbps, which makes working from here realistic. Families can borrow a baby crib and a high chair, and extra pillows and blankets are always on hand.

Aura by Grovy building facilities

Guests at Aura by Grovy have access to the rooftop pool and the gym. There is a modern reception in the lobby, the building is watched by round the clock security with CCTV, lifts serve every floor, and the grounds include a children's play area. A designated parking space comes with the apartment at no extra cost.

Location: Jumeirah Village Circle

Aura by Grovy stands inside JVC itself, in the calmer residential part of the community, with supermarkets, cafés and restaurants within walking distance and Circle Mall about a kilometre away. The metro does not reach JVC, so plan on a car or a taxi, but Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road are right there, and with them quick access to most of the city. Trips further out

Global Village, open from October to April, is closer from here than from most Dubai neighbourhoods. Allow roughly three quarters of an hour for old Dubai, with Al Seef, the spice and gold souks and the abra boats across Dubai Creek. House rules

Check in is from 3 pm and check out by 11 am. Smoking indoors is not allowed and pets cannot stay here. The building is quiet and family oriented, so parties are not permitted. A welcome pack with basic toiletries, tea and coffee is waiting for you.
