Who the apartment suits

It sleeps three and is built for a holiday by the water rather than for city sightseeing. It works for a couple happy to add a third person, for a small family, or for someone coming to switch off for a few weeks. Long term stays are explicitly allowed here, which is not a given among short term rentals in the Emirates.

Inside the apartment

The apartment is on a single level, with a living area, a separate dining zone and a balcony looking out to sea. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, along with cookware and glassware. Inside you will find air conditioning, a TV, blackout blinds, a safe and Wi-Fi running at over 250 Mbps. The single bathroom has a shower, towels, a hairdryer and basic toiletries.

For families with the youngest guests we can set up a baby crib, and there is a tumble dryer and a drying rack for laundry. Parking is in the building garage.

Royal Breeze building facilities

Shared facilities include the outdoor pool with sun loungers, a gym and a children's play area. Al Hamra Beach is a few hundred metres away, close enough to walk.

Ras Al Khaimah is its own emirate north of Dubai and it feels entirely different: quieter, cheaper and turned towards the sea. The Al Hamra district has a marina, a golf course and a shopping mall, the Rixos Bab Al Bahar and Waldorf Astoria resorts sit nearby, and Al Marjan Island stretches out a little further along the coast. For a stay without a car, this is one of the few locations in our portfolio where walking distance is genuinely enough.

• Jebel Jais mountains and the world's longest zipline: 45 km, about an hour
• Dubai International Airport (DXB): 65 km, about an hour
• Downtown Dubai and Burj Khalifa: 76 km, about an hour and a quarter

What to do around Ras Al Khaimah

Jebel Jais deserves a whole day, the road climbs in switchbacks and the air at the top is noticeably cooler than at sea level. Dubai is a day trip from here rather than a quick hop, so an early start pays off. Desert safaris and Abu Dhabi excursions can be arranged for guests staying in Ras Al Khaimah too.

You can move in at any time of day and check out is by 11 am. Smoking indoors is not permitted and pets cannot stay.
